Joseph T. Piscitello

Philadelphia Personal Injury Lawyer

Since holding his first legal position nearly 30 years ago, Attorney Piscitello has been recognized for his ability to negotiate settlements. In fact, within the first five years of practicing law, the firms he worked for started directing their largest personal injury matters to his desk, entrusting him with their tough legal issues.

After working for well-known firms in Philadelphia, Joseph started his own law office in 1991 where the lawyers exclusively handle personal injury matters. This experience gave him the confidence to realize that this area of law was a good fit with his personal and legal skills to relate to people involved in devastating accidents. Over the last 10 years, he has focused on representing cyclists involved in accidents, both on their bikes and in motor vehicle accidents. This niche practice developed specifically because he re-entered the world of competitive cycling and has been fortunate to combine his love and passion of law and cycling in this unique way.

Honored for Keeping Cyclists Safe

Joseph has been appointed to the Advisory Board for the Cadence Youth Cycling organization. The Board was recently formed in summer 2015 and is comprised of leaders in the field of cycling and tri-athlete training, business, cycling law, and fundraising. The Board is designed to assist Cadence Youth athletes in their efforts as athletes and support efforts to develop skills for college pursuits.

In 2010, Attorney Piscitello formed an Elite Master’s Cycling Team for PA Master’s Cycling. The team is called “PA Masters” and Piscitello Law has been the title sponsor since 2010. Currently, the 2015 team is comprised of 30 members consisting of multiple state champions for time trials, criteriums, and “Best All Around Riders” (BAR Award).

In addition to this, Attorney Piscitello is very involved in the cycling community, including:

  • Being awarded the State Criterium Champion for Pennsylvania in 2013
  • Placing in the top ten at the National Championships including the 2015 Cyclocross Championship held in Austin, Texas
  • Ranked by the U.S.A. Cycling Association in the top ten
  • Honored for his support of the Cadence Youth Cycling Team in 2014
  • Awarded the Cadence Community Award in recognition of his support of the cycling community in 2012

In his law career, Attorney Piscitello was appointed as Judge Pro Temp for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for 10 years.
