Piscitello Law is proud to support a new initiative, The Juniors Development Campaign to benefit Cadence Youth Cycling (CYC). The CYC program is part of the Philadelphia Bicycle Coalition whose mission is to use cycling as a platform to encourage young people to stay engaged in exercise, school and community. The program began nearly ten years ago and has an excellent record of success in mentoring and engaging urban youth. Taylor Kuyk-White is the program manager for CYC who, along with other coaches, leads 100 local Philadelphia high school students to develop training discipline on the road, trails and even off the bike. CYC helps these young athletes develop life & leadership skills, gain invaluable mentorships and access unique training courses. The program not only encourages healthy habits, but also inspires and empowers young athletes to focus on their future schooling and careers.
Piscitello Law contributed $2,500 to kick off this campaign and invites regional cycling teams & individual cyclists to support this Campaign. To date, PA Masters and CS Velo have each contributed $1,000 and other regional racing teams have pledged their support. Contributions to the campaign will help these young athletes cover the costs associated with cycling and competition including expenses for bike equipment, race licenses and registration, transportation and other expenses.
You can help, too, by contributing to this great cause. Individual cyclists who pledge $100 or more will be recognized on the Campaign website along with teams who contribute $1,000.
The cycling season begins on March 13th, 2017, so please consider making a contribution or pledge before that date.
Your gift in support of the Junior Development 2017 Campaign is tax deductible!
