Details about the Temple Bike Tour
The 2026 Temple University Bike Tour invites riders of all experience levels to enjoy a scenic, community‑driven journey from Temple’s Main Campus in Philadelphia to the beautiful Ambler Campus, home of the Ambler Arboretum. Beginning at 9 a.m. at the Diamond Street Lot, cyclists will travel a 22‑mile route that winds through some of the region’s most iconic green spaces, including the Schuylkill River Greenway, Fairmount Park, Forbidden Drive in Wissahickon Valley Park, and Fort Washington State Park. Supported by Temple University Ambler, the Office of Sustainability, the Office of the Provost, and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, the ride blends outdoor adventure, environmental appreciation, and campus pride into a single unforgettable experience.
The celebration continues at Temple University Ambler, where riders, families, and community members are welcomed for an 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. campus festival featuring activities, refreshments, and a beer garden for participants ages 21 and older. With transportation options available, bike rentals offered at reduced rates, and all proceeds supporting Temple University Ambler, the event is designed to be accessible, fun, and mission‑driven. Whether you’re riding the full route or joining the festivities at the finish line, the Temple University Bike Tour offers a vibrant way to connect with nature, support the university, and celebrate Philadelphia’s cycling community.
