Coalition of Appropriate Transportation
The Coalition of Appropriate Transportation (CAT) is a non-profit organization that promotes the Lehigh Valley area by improving conditions for cyclists, pedestrians, and public transit. CAT works to improve quality of life through community initiatives such as bike classes, CAT’s Yield to Pedestrians Initiative, and CAT’s Adopt-a-Bus Stop Program. Piscitello Law has been a proud supporter of CAT as we share their mission to improve the LHV region with safe and accessible transportation. Our lead attorney, Joseph Piscitello, grew up in the LHV region (Easton, PA) and has a special connection to these communities. Our law firm was invited to present our Bike Law Talk with CAT members during their Bike Shop Night (March, 2019) and we continue to follow and support their impactful work.

Supporting CAT’s New Chapter in Downtown Bethlehem
In early 2026, CAT entered an exciting new phase by relocating to a larger, more accessible space in downtown Bethlehem. The organization’s new home—located at the Walnut Street Garage (33 W. Walnut St)—serves as a central hub for expanding its programming and community outreach efforts.
This move represents more than just a change of address. It allows CAT to significantly grow its impact by:
- Expanding public access to bike repair stations and tools
- Offering hands-on mechanics classes multiple days per week
- Creating a welcoming space for cyclists of all ages and skill levels
- Supporting youth-focused bike education programs throughout 2026
Piscitello Law recognizes the importance of these resources in empowering individuals to ride safely and confidently, while also fostering a stronger cycling culture across the region.
