Penn State Bike Law Class

Our first college course! We were delighted to be asked to teach a course for the Penn State York campus during their spring 2023 semester. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offered a spring course on “Bicycle Law: What you Need to Know.”
The conversation about auto insurance policies included a discussion about the merits of securing stand alone bike insurance if someone is not on a parent’s or family auto policy. We discussed the points noted in the slide below:
Students were particularly interested in the bike versus car crash scenarios. They were engaged and actively participating in the conversation about how to ride safely and defensively on the road. Thank you Sharon Christ (Penn State OLLI) for inviting us to campus!
