Webinar | March 6, 2023
Piscitello Law was delighted to accept an invitation from the Princeton Freewheelers (PFW) to speak at their Annual Meeting March 6, 2023. This presentation was handled via webinar to facilitate a strong turnout. Thank you, Dave Speis, and PFW President, Mike Valazza, for including us on your agenda. The webinar included an excellent question and answer segment that covered several key topics, such as:
Q: What happens if you're in a bike crash with another cyclist and no cars are involved?
A: The relevant insurance policy will be the homeowner’s policy (not auto policy).
Q: What if you're in a bike crash with a deer, dog or other animal?
A: Home insurance policy and personal health insurance policies are relevant if coverage has been secured under a home policy.

Q: Why does my auto insurance company charge me more for coverage if I’m in a crash with someone with limited insurance or – a hit and run?
A: Insurance companies charge higher premiums for Uninsurance and Underinsurance Coverage (UM/UIM) to dissuade people from getting proper coverage. Don’t let these higher costs prevent you from getting the coverage needed to protect you and your family in the event of a crash, whether on a bike or in a car. This UM/UIM coverage is absolutely worth the money.
